HOUSE independent bloc leader and Leyte (lst District) Rep. Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez has urged the Department of Health (DOH) to double efforts to ensure that the country remains free from the deadly Ebola virus.
Romualdez said the DOH must be prepared for the threat of Ebola virus, which the World Health Organization has declared as one of the most serious health global concerns.
He added that the DOH officials must be vigilant against people entering the country especially those from who Ebola-hit countries in West Africa.
“We commend them for their work, but our health officials should continue to be vigilant and double their efforts in ensuring an Ebola-free Philippines,” Romualdez stressed, adding that returning Filipino workers suspected to have Ebola must disclose their health condition and whereabouts
